Target ilvl 334 Updated: 2026-10-16
Arcane Mage's gear page runs on the Sunfury hero talent at a 334 target item level, built from what the top Mythic raid parses on WarcraftLogs actually wear, with a Mythic+ column checked separately rather than any simulated output. Haste leads the raid secondary stat split at 34.4%, Critical Strike follows at 28.9%, then Versatility at 19.5% and Mastery at 17.2%. Sourcing is unusually spread out here: The Venomous Abyss supplies five pieces, Murder Row and the Tidebound Grotto three each, two are crafted, and one each comes from Temple of Sethraliss, Den of Nalorakk and Ruby Life Pools. No slot on this page is more one-sided than the neck: the Aqirbane Reliquary sits at 88.5% usage against the Strand of Warding Fangs' 2.9%. The crafted off-hand, Aln'hara Lantern, is similarly dominant at 85.3% over the Frostscale's Mystic Frond's 6.9%. The Primal Leywarden set is the real majority pick across five slots - Head, Shoulder, Chest, Legs and Hands - where it holds 80.5%, 90.2%, 90.7%, 91.5% and 82.7% respectively while the item listed first in each case carries no tracked usage of its own. The trinket race is closer: the Freightrunner's Flask leads at 67.1% over Gebbo's Bottomless Bag's 59.5%. Six slots see the Mythic+ pick differ from the raid pick. Below 334 item level, the neck and the crafted off-hand are the clearest priorities given how lopsided their usage is. For Head, Shoulder, Chest, Legs and Hands, gear toward the Primal Leywarden set that most top parses actually wear rather than the single item listed first in the table. Because the sourcing here spans seven different places rather than concentrating in one raid, expect to pick pieces up gradually across Mythic+ and the Tidebound Grotto rather than clearing one instance for the whole kit, and recheck the six slots where the Mythic+ pick moves, current as of September 25, 2026.

Crafted gear can carry an embellishment, and a character can only wear 2 of those at once. This list has 3 crafted pieces — pick the two with the highest usage below.

Fit = the filler's two secondaries' share in this spec's top-player stat split ÷ the top two stats' share; below 65% the addon does not count the converted piece as graduated.

Ordered by how often top players wear the tier piece in that slot — that is a pick rate, not item power. A 4-piece bonus only needs four of the five slots, so the lowest one can be skipped.
