Warrior Protection Macros

Ready-to-paste macros for Protection Warrior: the burst key derived from the current top parses, plus the macros this spec actually uses. Spell names follow the language you pick on this site, so they match your game client.

Protection Warrior's burst key centres on Avatar, which made it into all three scenes built from three top-ranked WarcraftLogs openings each. On raid bosses the sampled tanks open with Demoralizing Shout, and Avatar cleared the two-of-three bar, with trinket /use lines added. Mythic+ AoE pulls open with Thunder Clap at a one-opener bar, also with trinkets. Mythic+ single-target pulls open with Shield Slam and carry Avatar without a trinket line, since trinkets did not show up early in those openings. The spec macros are built around tanking flow. Shield Slam + Ignore Pain puts Ignore Pain in front of Shield Slam so you can keep your mitigation up while pressing your main button. Intervene ally / Charge enemy reads the unit under your cursor: a friendly mouseover gets Intervene, while a hostile target gets Charge. Taunt, Pummel and Heroic Throw take a hostile mouseover and fall back to your target, which helps when you pick up loose adds from the nameplates. The stance toggle uses ! so a second press does not cancel the stance. Heroic Leap lands at your cursor. Paste into a new macro and keep spell names in your client language.

A macro can fire only one global-cooldown ability per press — that is the game's limit, not ours. So a burst key is exactly: on-use trinkets + the off-GCD cooldowns top players press in their opener + one opener spell. Nothing else fits.

Off-GCD cooldowns pressed within the first 8 casts by at least 2 of the 3 sampled players, defensives and movement removed. Ends with the first on-GCD opener so everything fires in one press.

Slot 13 / 14: the data cannot tell which slot the on-use trinket sits in, so both are listed; the passive one just prints cannot use.
