Mage Frost Macros

Ready-to-paste macros for Frost Mage: the burst key derived from the current top parses, plus the macros this spec actually uses. Spell names follow the language you pick on this site, so they match your game client.

Frost Mage has two burst-key scenes on this page, each built from three top-ranked WarcraftLogs openings with the bar at one opener out of three. Raid bosses open with Frostbolt and no off-GCD cooldown qualified, so the key is Frostbolt plus trinket /use lines. Mythic+ AoE pulls open with Ray of Frost and fold in Ice Cold along with trinkets. In both scenes the sampled players also used Bloodlust or Time Warp early, and it was deliberately left out: lust is a group call, not something to tie to your personal burst button. The spec macros are mostly quality-of-life. Blink with stopcasting cancels whatever you are casting so the blink goes out immediately. Ice Block on / off puts both actions on one key: the first press casts Ice Block, the next press cancels the aura, with stopcasting in front. There are separate cancel keys for Ice Block and Alter Time if you prefer them apart. Blizzard and Freeze land at your cursor, which skips the targeting circle, and Remove Curse reads your mouseover. Copy into a new macro and keep spell names in your client language.

Burst key

Burst key — from the top parses above Macro commands →
#showtooltip Frostbolt
/use 13
/use 14
/cast Frostbolt

A macro can fire only one global-cooldown ability per press — that is the game's limit, not ours. So a burst key is exactly: on-use trinkets + the off-GCD cooldowns top players press in their opener + one opener spell. Nothing else fits.

Bloodlust / Time Warp is called by the raid leader, so it is deliberately left out.

Off-GCD cooldowns pressed within the first 8 casts by at least 1 of the 3 sampled players, defensives and movement removed. Ends with the first on-GCD opener so everything fires in one press.

Slot 13 / 14: the data cannot tell which slot the on-use trinket sits in, so both are listed; the passive one just prints cannot use.
